Stratford Motel & Holiday Park

The playground was a hit with the kids, but our bathroom was shared and not cleaned often enough.

Everything was brand-new, really kind staff, particularly nice views of the mountain. I asked for a studio suite and the one given was neat and generous-sized. Hairdryers and bath sheets was a plus.

Location: the hotel was really close to shops, cafes, restaurants and King Edward Park and Patea River. Didn't like when it was cold outside, went to Pizza Magic to relax and grab some food. Booked a room in the photos as having a separate living space. A fridge, a toaster, and a cooktop were a huge plus.

Cannot find any fault.

The strartford is probably one of the busiest hotels in town, which explains why two men tried to enter my room. How wonderful when privacy is not respected! There's nowhere to put your luggage, such a lovely design choice. I was just about to leave a glowing review until these lovely experiences ruined it for me.

the hotel was in a central location to the taranaki area. further, it was right by all the tourist spots as well as new plymouth.

Not exactly what I expected

Kids thrived in the heated pool and enjoyed nearby playgrounds equipped with multiple sports facilities and bike tracks. The friendly staff contributed greatly to our enjoyable stay.

While everything was generally pleasant, my room lacked certain comforts that would have enhanced my experience .

The kitchen cabin was comfy, just wish there were more pillows available.

Indoor heated pool, playground for the kids, close proximity to town and scenic bush walks.

Units could really benefit from an overhaul!!! The lack of a TV in the room was disappointing, especially since the online listing claimed otherwise!!! Communication about pet policy should be improved to avoid misunderstandings.

Excellent place with great amenities like free wi-fi, laundry, and an indoor swimming pool. I appreciate how the staff helped me recover my shower bag during my first stay. I'll definitely be back for a holiday!

The location is perfect for exploring Taranaki, with easy access to town and scenic walking tracks along the Patea River. The kitchen cabin was tidy, well-equipped with essentials such as a microwave, fridge, and hot plates. The cleanliness of the unit was commendable and greatly contributed to a comfortable stay. The staff provided really good hospitality, further enhancing the overall experience.

the mattress was a bit thin, though the showers were clean 🚿, the staff super friendly. location is perfect for bush walks 🌳 and the amenities are really good, like kitchens equipped with actual pots and pans.

I stayed in a Family Studio and found it comfy enough. The super nice team, and communication was spot on. The unit was clean and had everything needed for a short stay. The enclosed pool was a nice touch. Just be ready that it's a basic motor camp vibe, not fancy. If you're okay with that, you'll enjoy it!

A Comfortable Stay with Great Amenities

I spent a night in a cozy standard cabin. While the solid plate cooktop took some time to heat, the free-standing stove was a great backup. Caitie's warm hospitality, and the facilities were spotlessly clean. A lovely escape in Taranaki!

The location of the motel is great, close to the town center and national park. I stayed in a neat standard cabin with a nice view of the mountain.
